FIELD LESSON COORDINATOR
Weslaco, TXThe Field Lesson Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling of field lessons including hotel accommodations, itineraries, travel, fundraising, college field lessons, and food. Additionally, the Field Lesson Coordinator is responsible for preparing driver packets including special instructions, mapping, routing and directing drivers. The position also has administrative responsibilities which may include bookkeeping, computer input, maintaining files, documenting trips and preparing correspondence and reports and coordinator with parents.
Responsibilities:
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth and efficient operations of EOY College Field lessons.
- Coordinate monthly fundraisers.
- Coordinate parent meetings.
- Answer telephone calls from the Principal, Teachers and Parents.
- Prepares fieldtrip assignments, reads maps and give direction for field lessons.
- Maintain activity accounts be-weekly and balances to date.
- Analyze fieldtrip request and notify teaches, administrators and parents.
- Coordinate and contact outside organizations and colleges for field lesson visits.
- Coordinate and execute contingency plan in case of an emergency.
- Maintain accurate records and files on students throughout the years.
- Prepare cost comparison for school (meals, transportation, hotels).
- Coordinate response to field lesson emergencies with appropriate grade levels or departments.
- Ability to respond to emergency calls or changing college visits as needed and must be available to work overtime if required.
Outcomes:
- 90% of Field Lesson fundraisers by April 2016
- 90% of Field Lesson planning complete by January 2016
- 85% of students participating on Field Lesson
- Raise 250k for Field Lesson
- Manage IDEA Store

Qualifications:
Education:
• High School Diploma
• Associates degree preferred
Experience:
• One year bookkeeping experience, 10-key knowledge
• Experience and comfort working with large group of students and employees
• At least one year experience with academy/college prep students

• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
