IDEA principals are instructional leaders who coach and develop the teachers and lead team members at their school to achieve ambitious goals with students.  Principals are focused on excellence and continuous improvement and expect and support these values in their staff and students.  Principals lead their schools to do whatever it takes so that IDEA’s mission of College for All Children becomes reality.

Outcomes:

1. Exemplary student achievement on internal and external assessments
2. Students graduate IDEA and enroll in a four-year college or university

1. Bachelor’s degree
2. At least three years of full-time teaching experience
3. Instructional leadership experience (assistant principal, resident principal, instructional coach, team leadership, etc.)
4. Proven track record of personally achieving success and of leading others
5. Master’s degree and Texas Principal Certification preferred
